Pirate Studios – which boasts 18 state-of-the-art recording centres in the UK and New York City – is sponsoring the Best UK Breakthrough Band at HMA18.
The company – which offers studio space from £4 per hour – is a champion for emerging talent and jumped at the chance of backing the UK Breakthrough category.
David Borrie, Co-Founder of Pirate Studios, said: “It’s exciting to see how the metal, extreme and heavy scenes continue to develop with growing diversity as greater access to music inspires some incredible new bands.
“Pirate Studios are immensely proud to support all seven of the finalists in the Best UK Breakthrough Band category. Supporting emerging talent is absolutely fundamental to what we are about and the Heavy Music Awards are celebrating some of the best new acts coming through. Here’s to heavy music.”
Alongside twenty-four-seven studio access and free use of high calibre equipment in every room including drums, amps, mics and PAs as standard, Pirate Studios are also fitted out with custom-designed, hand-crafted acoustic panels built with sound quality in mind.
Artists recording at the studios may also get the chance to stream live to millions of viewers via the revolutionary Pirate Live initiative.
Andy Pritchard, Co-Founder of the Heavy Music Awards, said: “Having Pirate Studios behind UK Breakthrough Band is a great fit.
“They understand the need for supporting emerging talent and actively give new artists a platform.”
