The official HMA18 after-party will be hosted by Emo Night UK.

Since their New York launch in 2015 under the Emo Night Brooklyn banner, the club night hosts have quickly expanded across the United States, Europe and into the UK.

And now KOKO awaits their emo and pop-punk DJ team on August 23.

Emo Night will follow The Fever 333 on stage to lead the HMA18 celebrations through until 1am.

George Powell, from Emo Night UK, said: “We’re absolutely stoked to be working with the Heavy Music Awards this year and honoured to have been asked to throw the after-party at KOKO.

“It’s vital for us that we align ourselves with brands that share our ethos and love for the alternative music culture and the HMAs do just that.

“The bands that are playing and have been nominated for awards are always on our playlists so this seemed like a perfect fit for us. We’re both relatively new to the world.

“Our first event was less than a year ago so this could be the start of a blossoming relationship. Roll on the 23rd August! I don’t think anyone is ready for what we’re bringing and we cannot wait!”

Andy Pritchard, Co-Founder of the Heavy Music Awards, said: “It’s definitely a fact that when you’re up, Emo Night will keep you up and we’re really pleased to have them on our HMA18 after-party.

“It’s going to be an epic night.”
